Mariel van den Berg

Since 2005 I have been a GZ psychologist and registered in the BIG register under number: 29063757625. I obtained my doctoral degree in Psychology in 1995. From 1995 to 2000 I worked as an occupational and health psychologist and gained a lot of experience in guiding and coaching people with work-related complaints (stress, burnout, work conflicts). I was also a trainer for various companies (dealing with stress, dealing with aggression in the workplace) and I provided career guidance and research and management guidance.

Since 2000 I have focused on treating and researching various 1st line psychological complaints. Within a larger institution, where both Basic Mental Health Care and Specialist Mental Health Care were provided, I obtained my registration as a GZ psychologist. I was also a practical trainer for the GZ training from 2009 to 2014.

In addition to individual treatment of various psychological problems

(such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, autism and ADHD) I also have a lot of experience with relationship problems and sexual problems. In a partnership with the Jeroen Bosch Hospital I have guided patients with fertility problems.

In therapy, I work with the client to find a treatment method that best suits that person, ranging from practical and goal-oriented therapy (such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, EMDR) to exploratory and insightful treatment.

I am a member of LVVP (National Association of Independent Psychologists and Psychotherapists) and the NVVS (Dutch Association for Sexology)
